Let Your Sorrow Sleep
06:14
|
|
||
Dry your eyes, it's all over
from dust the waters rose and swallowed everyone
we made for higher ground till there was nowhere left to run
No light meets our eyes now
from our flooded graves the dead see nothing now
above these solemn waves, the world goes on somehow
In her greed, she drank the waters dry
with her words, she wished it all goodbye
in her sorrow, she knew she couldn't stay
and with her tears, she washed it all away
She left us with the tide
cared not for suffering, or the pain that she would cause
consumed by her own grief as she killed all that was
No one hears her weeping
floating in her sea of woe, there's no one left to care
drowned in her agony, the world could not be spared
In her greed, she drank the waters dry
with her words, she wished it all goodbye
in her sorrow, she knew she couldn't stay
and with her tears, she washed it all away
Let your sorrow sleep, there's no one left to suffer
the world has come and gone, now let the horror slumber
the waves of anguish crash against your solitude
our weight will pull you under, with your death we are renewed
Now let your sorrow sleep

Snowfall
08:17

Footsteps buried by the snow
your trail is cold, where did you go?
the years of walking have not treated me well
I am stuck here in this frozen hell
I'm so exhausted
I've walked these streets a thousand times
where only memories remain
My love, you left so long ago
and there's no one left to guide me home
my light has vanished forgotten in the snow
why do I go on, I've lost all hope
Snowfall
bury me
hold me in your arms
I'm so cold
frozen through
so far from you
At first, no one thought this cold could kill
we thought we could outlast, strong was our will
frostbitten fingertips groping for warmth
years passed and we all died, but I have looked for you
You were my comfort, the only shelter I had from the wind
my heart aflame with thoughts of you
I wanted to see you once before this was through
I said goodbye to friends and left them in the snow
why do I go on, I've lost all hope
Snowfall
bury me
hold me in your arms
I'm so cold
frozen through
so far from you
This will be my final rest
I never found you, I failed my test
in this wasteland, where did you hide?
I would have died with you by my side
Snowfall
bury me
hold me in your arms
I'm so cold
frozen through
so far from you

And Then the Silence
05:55
|
|
||
All that I've won and all that I have lost
I can have none of it now
Things I felt had some great meaning
they all lie useless at my feet
I could ask the gods "will I dream?"
but I already know they aren't there
I wonder what did my life mean
I wish I was prepared
the time is close, I feel the cold
whispering in my ear
telling me to close my eyes
there's nothing to fear
Here I lay
waiting for the end
no god to judge me
and no hell to call my home
I feel my final breath
fill my lungs
I close my eyes
I say goodbye
and then the silence
I feel a chill crawl up my spine
and my dream descend
I feel death's hand taking mine
leading me to the end
the time is close, I feel the cold
screaming in my ear
I finally close my eyes
my heart holds no fear
Here I lay
waiting for the end
no god to judge me
and no hell to call my home
I feel my final breath
fill my lungs
I close my eyes
I say goodbye
and then the silence
